These lenses are actually amazing. I bought my goggles with the Loden Yellow lenses, and I love them. However, whenever it was somewhat overcast, I couldn't see very well at all. I kind of started to think that's just how it is when it's overcast. Until I got these... I went snowboarding yesterday and it was very cloud/snowy, but I could see perfectly! It's pretty amazing to be able to see when you're used to seeing nothing. I definitely recommend getting a pair of these if you're looking for an overcast/stormy lens!

Amber Scarlet Lens
From Kenward of Bakersfield, California on 3/3/2016.
This lens works very well for me in overcast conditions, and I'm quite pleased with both it and the Rose Solver that came with the goggles (which I use in all brighter conditions). My gripe parallels someone else's concerning the quality of the lens' production. For such a high end lens/goggle, I DO expect my $60 to deliver a well made product. Unfortunately Giro has chosen to have their big-deal Zeiss lenses get coated in some Chinese factory (it's on the box) which is poorly QC'd (assuming this really is a Zeiss lens). There are several blemishes across the lens which are very obviously workmanship issues. While I did not see them as being large enough to cause a return of the lens, I will not recommend Giro to others. I carefully compared the field of view of the Onset with several other brands, at home, no sales pressure. While the Onset was the best of those, the runner ups were awfully close. I'm headed in that direction next time. FWIW I appreciated both the service and help coming from Prolens about the tint I chose. That was remarkable!

Exactly what I'm looking fot
From Rafael of Ny, New York on 7/15/2015.
Great lenses. I had the permission blaze before I bought these and they were still awesome. But then I wanted something just a little bit darker to protect me from the sun and these are definitely what I'm looking for, they even match my jacket a lot better than my previous ones. If you want something that's doesn't let as much sun in but darken ought to be comfortable, this is definitely your half way point.excellent field of view as well
giro onset loden green
From Olivier Louis of Marseille, France on 3/10/2015.
optical field is just what what they say ! WIDE !loden green screen is fine for a mixed light day if the sun is "all in" or rather "all out" consider black limo light filtering is higher color redition is excellent ( no funky color effect , tried under the sunny marseilles sky ) disapointed by the lens lacking of the zeiss logo eventhough it's zeiss produced all in all excellent goggles

Awesome lens, delivered with scuff
From Tyler of Denver, Colorado on 1/11/2015.
Ordered the Persimmon Boost lens. Awesome lens. Great in low light as advertised. One issue: lens arrived with a scuff on it. Not enough to return it, but slightly disappointing. It would make a lot more sense for the lens to arrive in a lens bag instead of plastic....
Superb all the way

Fast Service and Great Lense
From Gary of Star, Idaho on 2/26/2014.
Lense arrived in just a couple of days - quick. I ordered the Loden Green Mirror and these Carl Zeiss Lenses are excellent. Just make sure on the Giro Onset that you get the lens snapped in fully and that there is no gap at the top front where snow can enter. If you do that your golden. Great goggles/lenses
From jeremy of newburyport, Massachusetts on 1/6/2014.
The view through is great..is a light yellow tint as shown in the giro website. The outer lens is similar to their illustration of the color but maybe a bit more red than the outer green. Was fairly easy ..i guess...to install. The only thing I was dissapointed on was the mirror part of it. It was not completely mirrored.. from the side you cant see through well but straight on its fairly easy. I love the mirror look of the oakley lens.. but love these giros way more with the view and style.. just wished the mirror was better.
Best Lenses so far
From Anonymous of Werdenberg, Switzerland on 2/24/2013.
The very moment I put the Onset googles on, I felt the difference - broader view angle, almost like wearing no googles. In all weather conditions the view is much better than all googles I had so far. This is why when my son scratched the lenses I did not hesitate a second to order replacement from ProLens who delivered them very fast. Thanks a lot.
Great Lens, No Instructions
From Kyle Bernhardt of Newton, Massachusetts on 1/30/2013.
Great lens, does exactly what you need. Unfortunately, there are no instructions provided on how to swap out lens. I was left to figure out how to remove the old lenses, and insert the new ones. For such an expensive goggle and lens, I'd expect at least some instructions.
10/3/2014 – Hello, is the Rose Silver Mirror the same as the Rose Silver Polarized?
Response From Pro-Lens: No they are not the same. The Rose Silver Mirror lens provide a 30% VLT. The Rose Silver Polarized lens with a 17% VLT offer better protection on sunny bright days.
6/25/2014 – Hi,Will you be carrying the onset replacement lenses for the 2014/2015 Ski season !
Response From Pro-Lens: Yes we will! We should have a full stock of Giro Onset lenses by September 1st and we have a lot of customers looking for lenses and placing orders now for September delivery.Thank You!
1/5/2014 – hello, i own a pair of giro onset goggles with the amber scarlet lens. i was wondering if you could point me in the right direction for a lens to use in full sun conditions, preferably mirrored. and a lens to use in dark . . .
Response From Pro-Lens: The Persimmon Boost or Persimmon Blaze are both excellent all-condition lenses, boosting contrast in low light conditions and providing glare protection with a mirrored coating.
10/27/2013 – Hello, I was just wondering why your site is the only site that sells Giro Onset replacement lenses. Even the Giro website does not sell them. -Constantin
Response From Pro-Lens: We are committed to stocking as many replacement lenses as possible each season. If the goggle lens is interchangeable, we make an effort to supply customers with those specific replacement lenses!
9/19/2013 – Hi, I was just wondering how you install these lenses given the GIRO Onset goggle does not have interchangeable lenses? Thanks,Con.
Response From Pro-Lens: Hi Con.,The Giro Onset lenses can be changed. If you hold onto the goggle frame with one hand at the top of the frame and the other at the bottom of the frame and pull them apart, maybe with a little twist or two, the frame at the top should pull away from the top of the lens. Once this is done, remove the lens from the sides and finish below each eye. Installing the lens is just the opposite. Start by seating the lens completely around the nose area and work your way up each side finishing at the top. If you need further help, give us a call at 1-800-Pro-Lens or 1-800-776-5367.
